A detailed description of how our crude oil refinery plant works:

  • Crude Oil Desalting: The raw crude oil contains various impurities such as salts, water, and sediments, which can affect performance and reduce efficiency. Our advanced technological process, including electrostatic desalting, utilizes high-voltage electrostatic fields to separate oil droplets. The crude oil is mixed with fresh water and heated; the entire mixture is then sent to a vessel where salts and other components dissolve. This method effectively removes impurities while minimizing water usage.
  • Crude Oil Distillation (Atmospheric and Vacuum Distillation): This process differentiates crude oil into multiple fractions based on boiling points. Utilizing new technologies like the Advanced Process Control System (APC), which employs sensors and machine learning algorithms, we can monitor the entire distillation process. The crude oil is heated in a furnace, separating it into various hydrocarbons such as naphtha, kerosene, and diesel. Heavy compounds that cannot be distilled through atmospheric distillation are sent to vacuum distillation, where pressure is minimized.
  • Conversion Process: This process transforms heavy components into lighter fractions, producing various products such as gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel. The conversion process includes:
    • Catalytic Cracking: Heavy fractions are broken down into lighter molecules by passing them through a catalyst at high temperatures.
    • Hydrocracking: Similar to catalytic cracking, this process improves product quality by adding hydrogen.
    • Coking: This process uses vacuum residue to produce lighter products while leaving behind solid coke.

To simplify this process, we use a zeolite catalyst, which is a new advanced technological process that we use in our crude oil refinery plant. It reduces energy consumption and increases the production of gasoline and diesel.

  • Hydrotreating: This process is employed to enhance the quality of fractions and to remove sulfur, nitrogen, and other impurities from refinery streams. The mixture is passed over a catalyst at elevated temperatures, converting sulfur into hydrogen sulfide. Our refinery utilizes modern technology to improve catalyst activity, allowing for impurity removal at lower temperatures and pressures. AI-powered predictive facilities and machine learning algorithms continuously monitor the process, helping to reduce maintenance costs.
  • Reforming and Blending: During the reforming process, naphtha is converted into high-octane gasoline components and aromatics, which are commonly used in petrochemicals. Utilizing advanced catalysts and regeneration technologies, our modern catalyst offers greater resistance and longevity through multiple regeneration cycles. The mixture then undergoes blending, facilitated by our AI-driven blending optimization software, which produces petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel through various fraction methods.
  • Treatment of By-Products: This process aims to minimize environmental pollution by recovering valuable by-products, such as sulfur, from the refining process. Our innovative Superclaus technology effectively removes impurities, enabling sulfur recovery rates of up to 99.5%, significantly reducing emissions.
